  • The Detroit Hustle is a new and exciting Professional Basketball Team located in the Metro Detroit Area; that Participates in a Professional Sports League named The Basketball League.
  • The Team’s mission is to provide Live Action Entertainment, and Community Outreach and Involvement to the Metro Detroit Area.
  • The Team’s vision is to highlight another opportunity to being a Professional Basketball Player.
  • The team Consist of a Coaching Staff with 30+ years of Basketball Experience and a 12 Man roster of Local Professional Players, whose focus is to bring a TBL championship to the City of Detroit!

From Royal Oak Township, Michigan and a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC Jody loves being involved with and giving back to the community.  He enjoys volunteering with multiple organizations and is also a Teacher at Barack Obama Academy.

In College Jody was a CIAA Champion in 2014 and made it to the National Tournament 2 times in 2012-2014 at Livingstone College.  He was an All American NCAA D2 boxtorow in 2013-2014 making 2time All Tournament Team, and All Conference 2013-2014.  Jody was New Comer of the Year in 2012-2013 and 1,000 point scorer.

Jody is ready to make a positive impact on his community and building ambassador s who will represent the Detroit community around the world.

Aaron McDonald: Head Coach

Aaron McDonald was approaching six years working as Associate Head Coach of NBL Canada’s Windsor until he became the Head Coach for the Detroit Hustle one of the newest professional basketball teams in TBL.
Coach McDonald also coached basketball at Farmington High School and The Academy of Inkster.
While coaching for Windsor Express, Coach McDonalds defensive plays contributed to back to back NBLC Championships during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons.
McDonald is not just a coach, but also a mentor and leader, participating in basketball organization community outreach and scouting for talented players, many who have continued to have successful professional basketball careers.

Anthony Duane Lee:  Assistant Coach

A seasoned coach and assistant coach with over 39 years of experience Anthony Lee focuses on leading accomplished teams and building programs.  With coaching experience as an assistant coach at Livingston College Anthony recruited and mentored student-athletes, created relevant drills, compiled game film, statistical reportsfor game operations and adhered strictly to rules and regulations of the activities department and NCAA.                                                                                                            

Accomplishments:  Conference Championship 2014, 2015.  Head Coach awarded Big HouseGines Award 2014.

Anthony W. L. Johnson:  Head of Marketing and Promotions

Anthony W. L. Johnson was raised in Oak Park, MI.  He attended Ferndale High School, and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from the Mike Illitch School of Business at Wayne State University.

Anthony is the Owner of Move Me LTL; a Residential and Commercial Moving Company in Metro Detroit.  Anthony is the Vice President of Sync Detroit, a community revitalization group in the Metro Detroit area.  He is also a mentor for a Youth Empowerment Mentoring Program named Detroit Roses.

Kym Stewart:  Head of Game Day Operations

Kym Stewart is a single mom of five and grandmother to her three grandchildren.  Born and raised in Royal Oak Township, she has remained a staple in her community.

Co-Founder and standing owner of ULeadByExample non-profit organization alongside obligations as a Paraprofessional autistic teacher, Kym has been leading by example being a mentor, caregiver, resourceful liaison, and many more.

While wearing many hats she manages to maintain loving, healthy relationships with many.  From Senators to Principals, Kym Stewart is your go-to person when it comes to the youth.  She brings coat drives to sweetheart dances. She remains leading by example by walking by Faith and not by sight.

Camren Clouthier:  Official Photographer and Videographer

Camren Clouthier is a photographer and videographer based in Detroit, Michigan.  A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Camren is now the owner C2 Visual Media, where is specializes in photo, visual and digital content creation.  He is looking forward to bringing his creative expertise to the Detroit Hustle organization.
